[b][size=6]林散之先生年谱[/size][/b]1898年 戊戌 1 岁 11月20日（农历十月初七），
生于江苏省江浦县乌江桥
北江家坂。
1903年 癸卯 6 岁 入村塾念书，取名以霖，
又名林霖。
1904年 甲辰 7 岁 爱好描摹《绣像三国演义》、
《水浒传》人物。始临写
字帖。
1911年 辛亥 14岁 父病故。
1912年 壬子 15岁 至南京张青浦学画工笔人
物像。
1914年 甲寅 17岁 从乌江范培开学书，好吟
诗，有《古棠生诗稿》。
1915年 乙卯 18岁 与人结“求声诗社”。
1925年 乙丑 28岁 继《三痴吟稿》后所作诗
集名《江上诗存》。
1926年 丙寅 29岁 《山水类编》脱稿，二十
九卷，分二十一类，约35
万字。寄习作画请黄宾虹
指教。自此与黄宾虹有书
信来往。
1928年 戊辰 31岁 至上海从黄宾虹学。
1929年 已巳 32岁 将《山水类编》请黄宾虹
审订。出版事耽搁未果。
1931年 辛未 34岁 加入上海“中国画会”。
1934年 甲戌 37岁 游苏、皖、鲁、豫、陕、
川、湘等七省，行程一万
八千余里。得画稿八百余
幅，纪游诗近二百首，
《漫游小记》五万言。
1951年 辛卯 54岁 当选为江浦县人大常务委
员。
1952年 壬辰 55岁 被选为安徽省第一届人代
会代表。
1954年 甲午 57岁 任县水利委员会主席，与
民工力护江堤为洪水卷去，
经抢救，幸免于难。
1955年 丙申 59岁 任江浦县副县长。
1958年 戊戌 61岁 江浦县划属南京市。先生
被选为市政协常委。
1963年 癸卯 66岁 江苏省国画院聘请先生为
画师。
1964年 甲辰 67岁 重游黄山。与江苏省国画
院画家赴宜兴、无锡、苏
州等地写生。
1966年 丙午 69岁 夫人病逝。双耳失聪。
1970年 庚戌 73岁 烫伤，送医院救治。经医
生抢救，无名指和小指无
法恢复正常。
1972年 壬子 75岁 为庆祝中日恢复邦交，草
书毛主席《东方欲晓》词
得到启功、赵朴初、立夫、
郭沫若等书法家的高度评
价，由是名播艺林，声蜚
海外。
1978年 戊午 81岁 被选为全国政协委员。
1980年 庚申 83岁 江苏省美术馆举办“林散
之书画展”，又邀至合肥
展出。
1988年 戊辰 91岁 向故乡江浦县捐赠历年书
法作品170件 ，画40幅。
江浦县为建“林散之书画
陈列馆”。
1989年 己巳 92岁 12月6 日，病逝于南京。
1898 1 years old; born in Jiangpu County,
Jiangshu Province on November 20.
1903 6 years old; started school at a
private school of the village and was
named Yiling or Linlin.
1904 7 years old; felt interested in
delineating the figures in the
" Romance of the Three Kingdom", and
" Water Margin " by covering a paper
on the figures.
1911 14 years old; His father died of
illness.
1912 15 years old; went to Nanjing to
study fine brushwork portrait under
Zhang Qingpu.
1914 17 years old; took Fan Peikai as his
teacher, who taught him calligraphy
techniques; keen on reading poems;
wrote a collection of poems " Poetic
script of Gu Tangsheng ''.
1915 18 years old; organized " Qiusheng
Poetry Society" with others.
1925 28 years old;wrote another collection
of poems.
1926 29 years old;completed"the Collection
of the landscape Paintings "; posted
his works of calligraphy and painting
to Huang Binhong for advice;From then
on they kept up a regular
correspondence.
1928 31 years old; left for Shanghai to
take Huang Binhong as his teacher.
1929 32 years old; asked Huang Binhong to
revise his "Collection of the Land-
scape Paintings";it was not released
for some reason.
1931 34 years old; became a member of the
"Chinese Arts Society".
1934 37 years old; made a long-distance
travel through as many as seven
provinces such as Jiangshu , Anhui,
Shandong, etc.,covering over 18,000
Li, during which he sketched over
800 pieces, and wrote nearly 200
poems, and the fifty-thousand-word
"Notes of Random Travel".
1951 54 years old;was selected as a member
of the standing committee of the
People' Congress in Jiangpu county.
1952 55 years old; was selected as a
representative of the First People's
Congress in Anhui province.
1954 57 years old; was assigned as the
chairman of the county's Water
Conservancy Committee; protected the
dike with the laborers and was drawn
into the floodwater as the bank burst
and collapsed and was fortunately
rescued by the laborers at last.
1956 59 years old; was assigned vice-
governer of Jiangpu county.
1958 61 years old; was selected as the
member of the Municipal Political
Consultative Standing Committee after
Jiangpu county was put under the
administration of Nanjing city.
1963 66 years old; was offered an employ-
ment as a painter by the Jiangshu
Academy of Traditional Chinese
Paintings.
1964 67 years old; made a trip to
Huangshan for a second time; later
went to Yixing, Wuxi , Shuzou for
sketching with some painters from
the Jiangshu Academy of the
Traditional Chinese Paintings such
as Fu Baoshi, Qian Shongyan, Yanming,
Ding Shiji.
1966 69 years old; became deaf after his
wife died of illness.
1970 73 years old; was scalded all over
for carelessness while bathing, and
was sent to Dum-tower hospital
in Nanjing. Though an emergency
treatment was given,his third finger
and little finger can never recover.
1972 75 years old; wrote Chairman Mao's
poem "The Dawn of the East" in order
to celebrate the resumption of Sino-
Japanese relationship; His
calligraphy was highly praised by
those calligraphers such as Qigong,
Zhao Puchu, Lifu, Guo Moruo,etc..
Thus he was known both at home and
abroad.
1978 81 years old; attended the 5th
Political Consultative Conference of
the first time in Beijing as a
member of Political Consultative
Committee.
1980 83 years old;His 140 pieces of works
were exhibited at Lin Shanzhi
Exhibition of Calligraphy and
Paintings " held by Jiangshu Art
Gallery. In December,he was invited
to Hefei province for an exhibition.
1988 91 years old; donated his 170 pieces
of calligraphy works and 40
paintings to his hometown, Jiangpu
County; Exhibition room for Lin
Shanzhi's calligraphy and Paintings
was set up in jiangpu County.
1989 92 years old; died of illness
