1892年 壬辰 1 岁 5 月27日（农历五月初二）
生，乳名增钧。祖籍江苏
省太仓县浏河镇。
1900年 庚子 9 岁 入家塾就读。开始摹写兰
竹与山水。
1908年 戊申 17岁 入邮传部上海实业学校就
读。著名经学家唐文治告
诫：“点画皆需有力，切
忌浮滑。”对他日后的艺
术影响至深。
1913年 癸丑 22岁 受聘执教于上海图画美术
院，兼任函授乙部主任。
1917年 丁巳 26岁 赴日求本川端美术学校，
从藤岛武二学画。
1918年 戊午 27岁 油画《风景》入选首届苏
州美术画赛会展览。
1926年 丙寅 35岁 父病故，遂号“二瞻老民”。
修筑“乐天画室”。当选
为江苏省教育研究会干事。
1927年 丁卯 36岁 与黄宾虹交往甚密，常在
一起鉴赏品评古画。
1928年 戊辰 37岁 10月，与同仁共同创办
“艺苑绘画研究所”。
1930年 庚午 39岁 《朱屺瞻画集》出版。
1931年 辛未 40岁 任上海新华艺专教授与校
董。
1932年 壬申 41岁 举办“朱屺瞻淞沪战迹油
画展”。在浏河新镇建
“梅花草堂”，自号“梅
花草堂主人”。
1933年 癸酉 42岁 在沪举办“朱屺瞻绘画展
览会”。
1934年 甲戌 42岁 与潘天寿等联袂游浙江。
1935年 乙亥 44岁 参加由诸闻韵、潘天寿等
组织发起的“白社画会”。
1936年 丙子 45岁 与徐悲鸿、汪亚尘等创办
“默社画会”，举办“默
社画展”。
1937年 丁丑 46岁 再度赴日考察美术教育。
为使名画不流失海外，筹
款购藏石涛《万点恶墨图
卷》、《八大山人书画册》
等。
1940年 庚辰 49岁 收集编辑《忠节扇集》六
巨册，《贰臣扇集》两册。
1956年 丙申 65岁 受聘为上海中国画院画师。
1962年 壬寅 71岁 于上海美术馆举办“朱屺
瞻国画展”。次年赴南京、
西安展出。
1979年 己未 88岁 应邀赴北京为人民大会堂
作巨幅《红梅图》。被聘
为文化部中国画研究组成
员。聘为西泠印社社员及
特约画师。
1980年 庚申 89岁 《朱屺瞻画集》出版。
1981年 辛酉 90岁 《朱屺瞻国画展》先后在
上海、南京、成都、北京
举办。当选为上海美术家
协会常务理事。谈艺录
《癖斯居画谭》出版。
1982年 壬戌 91岁 当选为上海书法家协会常
务理事。“朱屺瞻画展”
在广州举行。《画家朱屺
瞻》电影拍摄完成。
1983年 癸亥 92岁 为旧金山国际机场作《葡
萄图》。
1984年 甲子 93岁 山水《大地春意浓》获第
六届全国美展荣誉奖。在
深圳举办个展。
1985年 乙丑 94岁 在香港举办个展。
1986年 丙寅 95岁 应邀赴美国纽约、休斯敦
等地讲学。被评为1986年
度上海文化新闻人物。
1988年 戊辰 97年 在新加坡举办个展。《葡
萄图》在北京国际水墨画
展获奖。
1990年 庚午 99岁 《朱屺瞻百岁画展》在上
海美术馆举办。《世纪丹
青--艺术大师朱屺瞻传》、
《朱屺瞻百岁画集》、
《当代中国画名家朱屺瞻》
大型画集等出版。
1991年 辛未 100岁 获首届上海文学艺术杰出
贡献奖。
1992年 壬申 101岁 聘为西泠印社顾问。
1995年 乙亥 104岁 英国大英博物馆举办“朱
屺瞻的艺术”展览。“朱
屺瞻艺术馆”落成。“朱
屺瞻百又五岁画展”举行。
《春风又绿江南岸》获八
届全国美展上海展荣誉奖。
美国旧金山亚洲美术博物
馆举办“朱屺瞻特别画展”。
1996年 丙子 105岁 4 月20日因肺部感染，心
力衰竭逝世。
1892 1 years old;born on May 27; Zengjun
as his infant name; His ancestral
hometown was Liu River of Taicang,
Jiangshu Province.
1900 9 years old; started school at a
private school, and began to copy
landscape paintings.
1908 17 years old; Tang Wenzhi, a famous
Confucian,exhorted him that strength
was necessary and flashiness and
luxury were forbidden in painting,
which had great effect on his later
art life.
1913 22 years old; was employed as a
teacher of Shanghai Academy of Fine
Arts and the dean of the 2nd
correspondence department.
1917 26 years old; studied to paint under
Huzhishimabuni at Chuanduan Fine Arts
School in Japan.
1918 27 years old; his oil painting
" Scenery " was selected to be ex-
hibited in the First Fine Arts Context
in Shuzhou.
1926 35 years old; named himself "Old Folk
Erzhan" after his father died; built
Letian Studio; was appointed the
secretary of Jiangshu Educational
Research Institute.
1927 36 years old; got on intimate term
with Huang Binhong, and often
appreciated and appraised the ancient
paintings together.
1928 37 years old;in October,organized the
Yiyuan Painting Research Institute
with others.
1929 38 years old; his paintings were
selected to be shown on the First
All-China Fine Arts Exhibition; made
friends with Qi Baishi; compiled
" Yiyuan Collection of Paintings "
jointly with Wang Jiyun and Pan
Yuliang.
1930 39 years old; the "Collection of Zhu
Qizhan Paintings" was published.
1931 40 years old; served as a professor
and school secretary of Shanghai
Xinhua Arts Training College.
1932 41 years old; held the Exhibition of
Zhu Qizhan Oil Paintings For the
Shonghu War; built Plum Cottage at
the new Liuhe County, and named him-
self "Host of Plum Cottage".
1934 42 years old;made a trip to Zhejiang
Province together with Pan Tianshou
and some other painters.
1935 44 years old; joined the Bai Society
organized and sponsored by Zhu Wen-
yun, Pan Tianshou, etc..
1936 45 years old;organized and sponsored
Mo Society,a painters' meet, with Xu
Beihong, Jiang Yachen, etc.,and held
the Paintings Exhibition of Mo
Society;
1937 46 years old; visited Japan for a
second time to investigate the fine
arts there; raised money with which
he collected Shitao's works"Wan Dian
E Ink Picture Album" and the " Album
of Badashanren", etc.,in order that
the famous paintings would not to
drain overseas.
1940 49 years old; collected and compiled
six volumes of"Collection of Loyalty
and Integrity Fan " and two volumes
of "Collection of Er'chen Fan".
1956 65 years old; was employed as a
painting master of Shanghai Academy
of Traditional Chinese Paintings.
1962 71 years old; held " the Exhibition
of Zhu Qizhan Paintings" in Shanghai
Art Gallery.
1979 88 years old; was invited to draw
the large-sized " Ode to Red Plum "
for the Great Hall of People in Bei-
jing;he was appointed by the Culture
Ministry as a member of the research
group of traditional Chinese
Paintings, and a member and special
painter of Xiling Press.
1980 89 years old; the "Collection of Zhu
Qizhan Paintings " was published by
Shanghai People's Fine Arts Press.
1981 90 years old; Zhu Qizhan Exhibition
of Traditional Chinese Paintings was
held successively in Shanghai,
Nanjing, Chengdu, and Beijing, which
evoked great repercussions; he was
appointed the standing secretary of
Shanghai Artists Association.
1982 91 years old; was appointed the
Standing secretary of Shanghai
Calligraphers Association.
1984 93 years old; his landscape painting
" Full spring of the land " won the
honorary award of the 6th National
Fine Arts Exhibition.
1990 99 years old; the Exhibition of Zhu
Qizhan Paintings to Celebrate His
100th Birthday" opened ceremoniously
at Shanghai Arts Gallery; " Painter
of the Century--the Biography of the
Art Master Zhu Qizhan", " Collection
of Zhu Qizhan's Paintings in Memory
of His 100th Birthday",and the large-
sized collection of paintings--
" Current Famous Painter of
Traditional Chinese Painting---Zhu
Qishan" were published.
1991 100 years old; was awarded a prize
in Shanghai for his outstanding
contrib0ution to literary and arts.
1992 102 years old; was appointed consul-
tant of Xiling Press.
1994 103 years old; Zhu Qizhan Exhibition
of Calligraphy and Paintings
Collected at Zhanyuan Hall was held
in Hongkong Art Gallery.
1995 104 years old; the Exhibition of Zhu
Qizhan's Arts was held in the Museum
of the Great Britain; Zhu Qizhan Arts
Gallery was completed; Zhu Qizhan
Exhibition of Paintings for his 105th
Birthday was held ceremoniously; his
" Spring Breeze Greens the South of
Yangzi River Again " won Shanghai
honorary prize at the 8th National
Fine Arts Exhibition; Zhu Qizhan's
Special Exhibition of Paintings was
held by Asian Fine Arts Museum in
Los engeles of the United States.
1996 105 years old; passed away for lungs
infection resulted by the acute
failure of his left ventricle
